Tech giant Google is laying off workers again. This time, at least 100 employees are being laid off from the sales, consulting, go to market, strategy, operations and engineering departments of the cloud unit. News from CNBC and Reuters.

It's unclear exactly why the Alphabet-owned company is laying off so many workers. Google also declined to comment on CNBC's report.

Last April, there were reports of layoffs from different departments of Google. However, it is not known how many servicemen have been sacked. Within a month, there was news of 100 workers being laid off.

Earlier this year, several hundred employees were laid off from Google's hardware, core engineer and Google Assistant teams for the Pixel, Nest and Fitbit. Google's parent company, Alphabet, has more than 180,000 employees. As a result, these layoffs can be said to be very small as a percentage.
